Time is fleeting, isn’t it? I wished I could say that I have invested my time wisely since I have been saved, but I cannot. All I can do is give my best efforts to make wise decisions each day. Our life is… “but a vapor”. I just want to make my life count for Christ!
I wanted to post a note of thanks to each church who has let us come their way recently. It has been an honor to travel to nearly 300 churches these last 26 months. God has broadened my horizons in so many ways! I also want to thank each one who sent emails and cards as petitioned in our last update. They have meant so much to my family!
It has been very busy around the Schank household. My schedule has been kind of weird as we approach the end of deputation… things just sort of work themselves out. Today we started end of year testing for our children. Pray everything goes well!
I want to share a huge blessing with you. Recently, Pastor Brad Ohler, now the pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church of Beulah, North Dakota, contacted me. It was really the first conversation I had with him since he became pastor there almost two years ago(?). Many of you will remember that this is where God had my family in ministry prior to our deputation for Blair. Pastor Ohler encouraged me in several ways. It is great to have a sound relationship with a previous ministry!
As we approach these next several weeks, please keep us in your prayers. For a reminder, here are three serious requests for prayer that we have: - Wisdom – I have a lot of responsibility with a wife and 5 children to take care of.
- Housing – We are planning on traveling at the end of May to secure some form of housing. Please make every effort to labor with us in prayer that we can acquire something adequate. Nothing fancy, just a place my wife can “nest in”, if you know what I mean?
- Support – We have lost a small amount of monthly support due to monetary issues with a church or two. We still need about $600.00 – $700.00 more a month to get by on. Whether or not we receive this needed support, by the grace of God, we are moving forward by faith!
We know that God will take care of these things in His timing, but He also asks us to pray! AMEN! (Ecclesiastes 3:11) "He hath made every thing beautiful in his time..." (KJV) My family and I are humbled by the numerous churches that have allowed us to partner with them in carrying out the Great Commission! Again, we say thank you! Praise the Lord for friends like you! WE ARE IN THIS THING TOGETHER!
